Your role

• You develop high-impact distributed services that solve major challenges in our business
• You take end-to-end ownership over what you build: design, implement, ensure quality, operate and extend
• You debug issues, perform root cause analysis and apply fixes in a timely manner
• You collaborate closely with our internal product team to ensure high-impact and direct feedback
• You develop knowledge, processes and organization of the IT department

Your profile

• You have successfully completed your studies (for example in computer science or informatics) and 5+ years of experience building high-performance APIs & microservices with Java (v17/21) and Spring Boot (3.x)
• Strong knowledge of Reactive Programming (Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor) for scalable, non-blocking systems
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, SQS, etc.) and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL (or other relational DBs) and optimizations for high-throughput systems
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS)
• Familiarity with API-first development (OpenAPI/Swagger) and REST/HTTP best practices
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, ArgoCD)
• Passion for clean, maintainable code (TDD, DDD, or hexagonal architecture is a plus) and leadership in driving projects from design to production
• You enjoy working in a diverse team of dedicated and experienced software engineers and show positive, "can-do attitude" and team spirit
• You have experience in leading projects from design through to production
• Your English is business fluent (C1), and your German is ideally good (B2+)
